In the mid-1970's my father and I designed the Nescafe World Mug for the Nestle corporation, as a promotional item. The design got the approval of Nescafe, and my Dad then produced them in Japan and sold over four million of them to Nescafe. We also designed some related items which were never actually produced in bulk or bought by Nescafe. Among them were the salt and pepper shakers. Thinking people use salt more liberally than pepper, we design the single hole shaper for pepper. Any of the sets out there were originally given away by myself as I have the only supply of them that exists. A friend of mine has been selling them on ebay and has gotten as much as $149.00 for a single set. My Dad was very proud of this design and the promotional program because of it's great success. I just knew it: those dinners are dangerous!
I won't even tell you where the shakers went!
The single hole shaker is for the pepper. I know, I designed them with my father.
