The Credit Crisis explained

Being but a lowly artist, I had only a small idea of what was happening to the economy but this handy 11 minute video made by an art grad student is a brilliant presentation and boiling down of what happened. Thank goodness for designers!

(thanks George for sending this!)

By the way, this came over drinks with George (brother) and my friend Jon. This was Jon's rebuttal to the credit crisis video:

Preview of a film with in a play

I particularly love the spider noise.

This may or may not be related to a play being put up by these guys. I'm intrigued!

I'm acting for one night only

I'm going to be acting in public with memorized lines next week in a short brand new Adam Bock play. It's for one night only and part of a gala fundraising evening for the Z Space Studio in San Francisco.

The Z Space is my artistic home, the home to numerous other amazing theater organizations in SF and is the heart for new play development and innovative theatermaking in San Francisco.

In addition to the Bock piece (performed by myself and Liam Vincent!) The evening has a silent auction and performances of new pieces by Anne Galjour and Daniel Handler.

Even if you can't make it, please consider a donation.

Things I've done in the past couple weeks

  • I watched my play, T.I.C. close. Sad, but the last weekend was incredible. I miss it. I'm sad. But now I have to do other things to not be sad and be creative once again. Check out some pics from the show.
  • I worked on my taxes. Good lord they take forever. Tomorrow I'm pulling out the tape measure to double check the size of the home office.
  • I went to the gym
  • I went to some bars
  • Mark and I have been on an Ugly Betty DVD frenzy
  • Caught up on Lost, Top Chef
  • I went to Kentucky, worked with amazing people on this sweet little thing. It's an evening about rites of passage and it's hilarious and touching with an amazing cast of 21 folks who are talented and awesome. I do keep getting the nagging feeling that a teacher is going to come in and bust us. Louisville continues to charm me.
  • Hunter Gatherers got extended in Los Angeles. Go Furious!

and that's it...but now more work begins

I also get to release the blog from purely self promotional duties. That is, when I have something non self-promotional and interesting to say.

almost there.
