Best Synopses of my Plays: Birthday Parental edition

Yeah so I'm older today.

For my present, my father presented me with synopses of my plays in the forms of Haikus. At the risk of being Narcissistic I though I would share them cuz, hey, it's my blog!

Anyway this is where some of my writing genes come from.

Without further ado, I present you Haikus about me and my plays as written by my father, Harold Nachtrieb.

PETER SINN NACHTRIEB
IS A PLAYWRIGHT WITH BIZAZZ
HE IS, ALSO, GOOD!

ABOUT PETER NACHTRIEB’S THINKING:

HIS SCREEN REFLECTS LIFE.
REAL INSIGHT IS TO BE SEEN.
ONE ABSORBS A LOT.

PETE’S PLAYS HAVE PLOTS TOO.
LAUGHTER FROM THE CURTAIN’S RISE
FOLLOWED BY GROSS FUN.

“COLORADO”

TEEN AGE GIRL HAS PLAN.
TO WIN HER BEAUTY PAGEANTS.
(DIES FROM TOXIC STEAK.)

BROTHER SOMEWHAT WEIRD.
HAS TALKS WITH MAURY POVICH.
SURVIVES IN THE END.

“HUNTER GATHERERS”

COUPLES MIX IT UP.
KILL A LAMB ON STAGE TO EAT.
DOCTOR DIES FROM WILD SEX.

“BOOM”

END OF WORLD IS NEAR.
PLAN FOR REGENERATION
(NEEDS AN EARTH MOTHER)

TRENCHCOATS IN COMMON:”

A HIVE OF DWELLINGS
BRINGS DIVERSE SOULS TOGETHER.
BEWARE OF FLASHING!

Even better than pullquotes in my opinion
